Amber R. Van Til, executive vice president of the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA), was named 2015 Association Professional of the Year by the Indiana Society of Association Executives at an awards ceremony held Dec. 10 in Carmel.
The Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) was honored with three statewide awards presented by the Indiana Society of Association Executives at an awards ceremony held Dec. 10 in Carmel. The IBA won in the categories of Association Professional of the Year, Outstanding Individual Program/Event and Outstanding Non-Dues Revenue Program.

Rep. Ed Clere, R-District 72, has been honored as 2015 Legislator of the Year by the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA). The award was presented by Amber R. Van Til, IBA executive vice president, at the Association’s Annual Convention in French Lick, Indiana, on Sept. 15.
Larry W. Myers, president and chief executive officer of First Savings Bank, Clarksville, has been named a Sagamore of the Wabash by Gov. Mike Pence. The award recognizes Hoosiers who complete distinguished statewide service. Myers was presented the award by Tim Berry, director of the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions, on Sept. 15 at the Annual Convention of the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) in French Lick, Indiana.
Amber R. Van Til has been named an executive vice president of the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA). She most recently served as senior vice president-government relations, with primary responsibility for all state banking legislative issues and for IBA’s communications functions.
Banks offer multiple services to their communities. In addition to providing loans and capital to individuals and businesses, banks are deeply involved in community organizations, providing time, talent and capital to help build better communities. To measure the donations of Indiana banks to their communities, the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) surveyed member banks about their community involvement through 2014. A total of 31 IBA-member institutions responded, representing approximately 22 percent of membership.

The board also helps determine IBA’s legislative programs and positions on issues affecting the banking community.

Mark A. Schroeder, chairman and chief executive officer of German American Bancorp, Jasper, has been honored with a concurrent resolution by the Indiana Senate and House. Presented on Monday, March 13, the resolution honored Schroeder for being named by American Banker magazine as one of three nationwide Community Bankers of the Year for 2016.
