Donald Ross Course at French Lick
Sunday, Sept. 10 - Shotgun Start 11 a.m.
Test your game on the beautiful Donald Ross Course at French Lick. Originally constructed in 1917 by world-renowned architect Donald Ross, the legendary course has been home to many regional and national tournaments, including the 1924 PGA Championship. Ross is revered for his links-type courses with deep green-side bunkers and graceful, undulating greens. Each golfer will receive a box lunch at the golf course, and beverages will be available throughout the day. Awards will be presented during lunch on Monday. See you on the fairways!
Wild West Welcome Party
Sunday, September 10 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 p.m.
Is your cowboy hat is starting to collect dust? Are you humming the theme song to the classic TV western "Bonanza?" Are you drawn to pointy snakeskin boots and chaps? Well, sit yourself down, pardner, and prepare to attend the Wild West Welcome Party! Join the cavalcade for a western extravaganza. Don your cowboy boots, prairie skirts or favorite pair of jeans and cowboy hat and join us for a country reception, chuckwagon dinner and entertainment on the patio. It’s sure to be a foot stompin’, Hee-Hawin” success.
It gets bigger and better every year! The IBA Future Leadership Division’s annual silent auction is the place to be on Monday evening. You will have the opportunity to bid on treasures such as event tickets, golf items, decorative pieces, sports memorabilia and specialty items. We will once again use electronic bidding through mobile phone, or with the help of an FLD member equipped with iPad. To enhance your auction experience, we will be distributing silent auction information to begin the bidding a couple of days in advance. All funds raised will benefit Indiana BANKPAC. Don’t miss this chance to do some quality shopping, while supporting the PAC that supports Indiana banking.
Join us on the mezzanine level of the hotel on Monday night for some late-night diversion at the annual IBA euchre tournament. We’ll be playing a progressive tournament with multiple changes in partners, and with each player scoring individually. There will be fabulous prizes for the winners, with guaranteed fun for all who attend.
As always, the highlight of the Convention social activities is the closing Banquet. This year is no exception. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by an elegant dinner and recognition of our past presidents and members of the IBA 40 Year Club.
Dinner will be followed by “The Stetson Experience.” Mind reading has never been this much fun, as performer Jon Stetson injects uproariously funny situation comedy into his performance for side-splitting hilarity.
Jon Stetson is a fourth-generation mentalist who grew up hearing stories about his grandfather’s uncle, a man named Alexander who traveled across the country performing as a magician, crystal gazer and mind reader. Join us for a show that will be amazing, motivational, inspirational … and hilarious to boot.
Grand Prize Giveaway
The grand prize drawing takes place at the Closing Banquet. This year we will dazzle the winner with a stunning pair of 1.5 caret diamond stud earrings. Members must be present to win! To be eligible, you must be an IBA-member banker, a full Convention registrant and present at the Closing Banquet on Tuesday night.
