Compliance for Loan Processors

Aug 21, 2019
IBA Center for Professional Development
8425 Woodfield Crossing Blvd., Suite 155E
Program Overview:

PDF of Brochure

Over the last few years, lending compliance has become more and more confusing, as the rules have become more and more complex. Loan processors often have been forced to deal with the changes by learning the “buttons to push”, without being given an understanding of the underlying regulatory requirements.

This course is designed to enhance understanding of the regulatory requirements. This course will focus on the documents – the most important portion of the processor’s job.  Errors in documents can cost banks thousands of dollars, and, as with the advent of the Dodd-Frank regulations and the TRID documents, the risks will certainly increase.

The course will discuss the existing forms and their requirements.  This course will not cover items that are more the province of the lender or underwriter.  It will review potential pitfalls, the risks of errors, and the decision making process to avoid these negative outcomes.

Attendees should be prepared for a longer than normal seminar, due to the volume of material that will be presented.
