Luke J. Yaeger is president and CEO of Commerce Bank, Evansville. He began his banking career 17 years ago with Old National Bank in Clarksville, Tennessee, working in the greater Nashville market, before relocating to Evansville, Indiana, in 2004. In early 2006, Yaeger joined the management team of Commerce Bank to help orchestrate its grand opening in May 2006. He held various positions within the bank before being named president and CEO in 2015. Yaeger’s community involvement includes service as vice chair of public policy for the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce, as immediate past president and current board member of the Rotary Club of Evansville, and as past board chair for Junior Achievement of Southwest Indiana. Additionally, he is a member of the board of directors of the Tudela Futbol Club in Evansville and coaches youth soccer. A member of the Indiana Bankers Association Future Leadership Division, Yaeger is a graduate of Austin Peay State University and its President’s Emerging Leaders Program, earned an MBA from the University of Southern Indiana, and has completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
