George W. Ferriell is president and chief executive officer of Bath State Bank and president of Bath State Bancorp. He joined the bank as operations officer in 1986 and held various positions, including head of lending, before being assigned to president and CEO in 2007. Previously Ferriell was assistant manager at Household Finance Corp. from 1978 to 1980 and branch manager and loan officer at First National Bank of Richmond from 1980 to 1986. A consultant for Junior Achievement at Union County schools for more than 25 years, he serves on the board of directors and executive committee of Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana. Additionally he is active with the Franklin County Community Foundation. He also serves on the board for the Title Center of Indiana, the Indiana Council for Economic Education Committee and the Indiana Financial Literacy Task Force. Ferriell is a graduate of Hanover College, of the Midwest Agricultural Banking School, of the School of Deposit Counselors, of the National School of Real Estate Finance and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.
