Benjamin J. Bochnowski is president and chief executive officer of Peoples Bank, Munster. Additionally he is CEO of NorthWest Indiana Bancorp, for which he has been serving as a director since 2014. Bochnowski joined the bank in 2010, was named president and chief operating officer in 2015, and was promoted to CEO of the bank and holding company in April 2016. Active in the community, Bochnowski serves on the Membership Council of the American Bankers Association; serves on the boards of directors of the Dunes National Park Association and the Legacy Foundation; and volunteers with the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities at Purdue and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the ESADE business school in Barcelona, Spain. Bochnowski is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking, with a leadership certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Indiana Bankers Association Future Leadership Division and a past member of the FLD board.
