Indiana Bankers Association is pleased to sponsor the Community Bankers for Compliance School (CBCS), which is now in its 17th year. The CBCS will lay the cornerstone for community bankers to build and manage an in-bank compliance program. The goal of this school is to assure attendees have the necessary knowledge base to build an effective compliance program.

Designed for compliance professionals, the CBCS is presented in two modules and is presented on October 15-19, 2018.

Deposit/Operations Compliance Module
The important elements of the deposit and operations compliance regulations will be presented in this two-day module.

Lending Compliance Module
This three-day module is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the major lending compliance regulations that have been determined to be “must knows” for compliance officers.

Please note: Due to the size and complexity of the regulation, Regulation Z will be presented at the Reg Z University o?ered May 30, 31, and June 1, 2018.

Both modules will provide practical aids and strategies to help those attending apply and maintain this information directly in the bank. The instructors will take those attending through the most important parts of the regulations that apply to them, including both the regulation and applicable commentary. Additional Information:

Who Should Attend?

The compliance officer is responsible for administering your bank’s compliance policies and procedures. Therefore, it is essential that your bank’s compliance officer attend this valuable program. Most banks have discovered, however, that to operate an effective and efficient internal compliance management program, sending a second person, typically from customer service, lending, or operations, greatly enhances the bank’s ability to implement compliance throughout the bank. Banks may send one individual to both modules or two people (from customer service, lending or operations) may share a seat to the module most suited to their jobs. This allows your bank to customize training and maximize this valuable training opportunity.

Certificate of Completion.
To demonstrate your commitment to having a strong compliance program, individual program attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion upon attendance at all sessions. These certificates can be used to apply for certification in the national certification programs or for meeting the continuing education requirements for those already certified.
